Psalm 15

Remember that this psalm describes Jesus perfectly and describes believers to different degrees.

Ask God searching questions: ‘O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?’ (verse 1).

Pray for consistency inwardly and outwardly: ‘He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart’ (verse 2).

Ask God to help us with our speech: ‘who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbour, nor takes up a reproach against his friend’ (verse 3).

Pray for a proper estimation of people: ‘in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honours those who fear the LORD’ (verse 4).

Resolve to be kind to the needy: ‘who swears to his own hurt and does not change; who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent’ (verses 4-5).

Thank God for upholding grace: ‘He who does these things shall never be moved’ (verse 5)
