£5000 Donation For Tearfund's South Asia Flood Appeal

The Free Church of Scotland has made a donation of £5000 towards Tearfund's South Asia Flood Appeal. Huge areas of India, Nepal and Bangladesh have suffered catastrophic flooding affecting 41 million people. Over 1200 people have died in the disaster so far and nearly three-quarters of a million homes have been destroyed. Rev. Dr Bob Akroyd Chairman of the Mission Board said, "As we give financially to support those in great need can we also pray for those who are delivering this aid and for those whose lives have been devastated that they may know the comfort of God who is the Father of all compassion." The donation came from the Free Church’s Disaster and Relief Fund. Congregations and individuals are encouraged to donate to the fund to enable the Church to continue to respond to such emergencies and to continue to pray for the people of South Asia. Donations can be made to the fund through the website www.freechurch.org or by emailing the office direct This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
